Introduction to the job

This group lead will manage all functions within the departments of inbound logistics listed for 2nd shift, as well as oversight on the limited 3rd shift team for shift turnover purposes. Role is expected to lead and coach the team of inbound logistics personnel across multiple disciplines related to material processing. Group lead is expected to develop, enhance, and implement policies and practices as well as group targets, evolve communications, manage the teams through performance management measures (KPI development and adherence) to ensure the realization of (strategic) objectives to meet corporate targets for Wilton Factory related to on time and in full material availability. Coordinate on upcoming material needs as well as ensure all materials are processed through the system. Role and responsibilities
  • Manages and helps develop organization of 20+ material handling professionals spanning multiple disciplines related to internal factory logistics

  • Owns overall responsibility to control, drive, and report out material delivery and allocation performance for inbound logistics

  • Is responsible for operational team results and contributes to structural improvements through project initiatives - with regular update communication internally and to external stakeholders

  • Participates in cross sector improvement projects related to material availability

  • Coaches competencies within team, as well as guides WF subsectors on material movement improvement

  • Main interface and liaison for other sectors and communication surrounding all items related to material delivery, such as (but not limited to):

  • Cross-sectoral best known methods (competency centers)

  • Hoshin Kanri / Breakthrough project initiatives

  • Strategic team decisions, guidance and clarification for internal subsectors to deliver results

  • Communication to WF management on behalf of logistics

  • Interfaces and builds relations to create best known methods within ASML related to material availability

Education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree with focus on supply chain logistics

  • 5+ experience working in a high volume logistics operations within a factory/warehouse environment, with strong understanding of material flows within factories and with multiple work centers and operations areas

  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience of >15 people

  • Basic knowledge technology and SAP operating system

  • Knowledge of LEAN systems and process

  • Advanced knowledge of internal factory logistics and corresponding processes for material flow

Skills

  • Experience in project management and stakeholder management

  • Experience in driving organizational change & can demonstrate change management

  • Assertive and pro-active on autonomous basis to drive organization in respectful manner

  • Team player with good social and communication skills

  • Flexible and highly committed to organization

Other information

Must be able to work hours needed to support 2nd shift operations that runs from 3pm to 11:30pm.

Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
