Responsible for the uptime, repair, and maintenance of complex equipment in a multi-faceted manufacturing environment. You will be a key technical, and maintenance program leader for Optical Fabrication. Excellent communication skills are required both verbal and written, providing daily reports for equipment statuses, maintenance performed and open tasks on projects while making improvements in equipment maintenance program. You will engage in the adoption and industrialization of new products and new processes through a strong collaboration and partnership with Operations and Engineering. Individual should be a passionate team player who enjoys the success of team members as much as who enjoy personal success.

As a member of the Optical Fabrication Production Support Team displaying structured systematic problem solving, innovative problem resolution, and encouraging new ideas is essential. Candidate must be able to work and communicate effectively with Peers, Production Operations, Equipment Engineering, and Production Engineering, across all shifts to maintain production continuity to meet the business goals.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Roles and responsibilities

Key Areas of Responsibility (KAR's):

  • Repair and Maintenance of complex equipment in a manufacturing environment. Diverse Optical Fabrication equipment; CNC, Polishers, Thin Film Hi-Vac, Metrology, Cleaners.

  • For excessive downtime or repeating events, individual will be required to conduct Structured Problem solving with team and required to document using 4C or A3 problem solving format and follow thru to closure and be able to present findings and resolutions.

  • Effective at planned maintenance, with attention to detail and care. Continuous optimization to identify and implement off-line actions to improve tool availability.

  • Creating, maintaining, and monitoring work schedules with clearly defined priorities.

  • Conduct Eq. Tier meetings, and report daily statuses.

  • Maintain safety stock, organized in a 5S LEAN way, with accurate availability.

  • Must be able to work safely and follow policies and procedures in an industrial environment under minimal supervision.

  • Candidate will be required to wear PPE and embrace ASML 5S requirements.

  • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and statuses.

  • Ensure Production Support Teams succeeds at supporting the Optical Fabrication, operations.

  • Strong interpersonal skill to work with management, engineering, and technicians to establish and complete priority activities and maintenance schedules.

  • Self-starter attitude and good manual dexterity is needed for system assemblies.

Key Decisions:

  • Highly Skilled troubleshooter to assist team with identifying root cause of a failure and guide team on repair and follow up on repair. Escalation next steps.

  • Predictive Maintenance; support implementation of it and seek opportunities to implement. Utilize data to improve reliability and stable processes.

Education and experience
  • The position requires 8+ years of electro-mechanical experience, and one of the following: AS degree, Technical Certification, Automotive Certification, Military Technical training, BS engineering, Technical, Manufacturing or equivalent experience.

  • Experience with CNC, Polishers, or Thin Films Hi-Vacuum equipment preferred. Including integrated controls and mechanics for stable processes.

  • Siemens or Allen Bradley Controls/ PLC experience a plus.

  • Strong manufacturing operation acumen.

  • Strong LEAN manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.

  • Computer proficiency with MS Outlook 365 applications, with knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP system.

  • Familiar with working in ISO9001 and ISO14001.
